Doctorate degree

The Graduate Program in Computer Science (PPGCC) at UFSCar has a complete infrastructure with support laboratories for Computing's main areas. The program coordinates CAPES/PRINT projects in partnership with universities in the United States, Spain, France, the Netherlands, and the United Kingdom, which allow the offer of more sandwich doctoral scholarships, various work missions abroad, and researchers' reception from abroad as visitors in the PPGCC. The program has several partnerships with the industry, such as Ericsson, Telefónica, B2W Digital, and startups such as Birdie.ai, Via Maker and Gamers Club. Besides, professors of the Program have participated and led international projects in partnership with countries in the European Union and the United States, providing relevant exchanges and researchers' exchanges.

PPGCC students can conduct research both at the São Carlos Campus and the Sorocaba Campus.

The admission will be conditioned to the existence of vacancies for orientation by an advisor. It will be based on the analysis of the candidate's curriculum vitae, their school transcripts, research plan and letters of recommendation. The admission occurs in a continuous flow regime with registrations exclusively via the internet.

If the candidate does not present a letter of approval from the program's teacher at the time of registration, the coordination will forward the program's documentation to possible advisors. If interested, this candidate will be included in the selection.

Regarding scholarships, the PPGCC has institutional quotas for doctoral scholarships passed on to students based on academic merit. However, students and teachers are expected to submit their scholarship applications directly to FAPESP (http://www.fapesp.br/261).
